Rotomolded Products
Products are manufactured from the rotomolding process for a number of reasons. Durability, repeatability and the ability to withstand inclement weather conditions are just a few common reasons why some OEMs and companies elect to utilize the rotational molding process as a means for production. Products can be produced in a wide variety of colors, including beautiful bright colors, granite’s, metallic’s or even swirls or glow in the dark pigments.
A number of rotational molding suppliers have kept a strict focus on a singular product or product lines, such as the molders who specialize in strictly in trash cans, laundry carts, water tanks or maybe even rotomolded coolers. While some of these molders will dabble in custom rotational molding, they aren’t true custom molders. Many have found out the hard way, that when these companies “busy season” is upon them, their custom molding customers quickly lose priority, taking a back seat to their proprietary product demands and left with without product to ship or sell. When the molder’s busy season is over, they will go back to pretending like they are a true, custom rotational molder.
Products of Custom Rotomolding
Many rotational molding companies would rather focus on a single line of products such as trash cans, laundry carts, playground equipment, water tanks and more. This allows them to focus a group of proprietary products without having to deal with the complexities and ever-changing environments of true, high quality custom rotational molding. Some will claim to offer, custom rotomolding services, however, many customers will find themselves out in the cold each and every time the busy season for the rotomolders’ proprietary products comes around.
Custom Rotomolded Products
A growing number of OEMs and manufacturers continue to develop or convert products and components to the rotomolding process. Many engineers find a growing number of uses for rotational molding once they have success and experience with a conversion to the rotational molding process. This has lead to a number of conversions from fiberglass, stainless steel, carbon steel and more to be converted to the rotational molding process where ruggedly, durable products can be produced or molded with a number of complex design features, generally increasing performance, production and sometimes even reducing overall costs.
Many rotomolded products are the results of material and process conversions. Common rotomolding product conversions come from a number of other manufacturing processes including fabricated metals, fiberglass lay up, blow molding, injection molding and so much more.
Rotomolded Products
A growing number of companies are utilizing rotational molding as their selected manufacturing process for a number of their components or projects. As the rotomolding industry continues to grow, there will continue to be new innovations and new product developments within the segment of industry, thus attracting new clients and new opportunities for true, high quality, custom molding companies.
